# ACP_PROTOCOL_VERSION

> The newest ACP protocol version the SDK speaks.

The newest ACP protocol version the SDK speaks. The handshake defaults to this
version; the agent answers with the version it settled on (an ACP v1 agent
such as the local CLI replies `1`), exposed as `AcpClient.protocolVersion`.
