# traceSessions

```typescript
traceSessions(options?: TraceSessionOptions): SessionInstrumentation
```

Trace every session a client opens: pass the result as the client's
`tracing` option (`createDevin`, `LocalDevin.start`, `CloudDevin.connect`).
Covers sessions created, loaded, attached or launched, and every prompt
path (`send`, `run`, `stream`, `streamUpdates`, `postMessage`). A
session's own `tracing` option is merged over `options` (tags appended,
metadata merged); `tracing: false` leaves it untraced.

`SessionInstrumentation`
