# CognitionAcp.ExternalSessionMetaSupportMeta

> — connection-scoped client capability, sent in the client capabilities .

`cognition.ai/externalSessionMeta` — connection-scoped client capability,
sent in the `initialize` client capabilities `_meta`. When `true`, the
client sources session metadata, config options, and usage from outside
ACP (e.g. the webapp's REST API), so `session/load` / `session/resume`
skip building them and return only the replay plus its `_meta`.
Absent/false retains the full legacy response.
