# Migrate to Devin from another coding agent

> Use one prompt in Devin Cloud or Devin Desktop to bring your repository’s existing coding agent rules and workflows into Devin without removing the originals.

Select your repository in Devin Cloud or open it in Devin Desktop, then paste this prompt into a Devin session:

Find the rules, skills, and workflows my other coding agents use in this repo.
Make them work in both Devin Cloud and Desktop: merge missing project rules
into AGENTS.md, and put reusable workflows in .agents/skills/<name>/SKILL.md
with a name and description. Preserve each rule’s scope and keep the originals.
Skip duplicates and secrets. Show what changed and flag anything that needs
manual setup, such as hooks or MCP servers, rather than enabling it.

If your old setup lives only on your computer, share the relevant instructions without credentials. Review the changes and commit them so future sessions in either environment can use them.
